Have been having problems for sometime now with slight stutter on the engine
whilst driving, more noticeable whilst travelling at lower speeds in higher
gears - around town driving, just a slight stutter, enough to make the car
feel as though its pulling back. Had initially thought it was the injectors
that needed cleaning, I usually stick some injector cleaner in with the
petrol although I don't notice a great improvement.
Having read various posts on this newsgroup I am wondering now if it is the
Crankshaft Position Sensor that could be causing the problem as some of the
symptoms mentioned seem relevant, Have checked the fault codes this morning
& their are non logged although warning light did come on last week when I
was returning from work but re-set when I turned off the ignition &
re-started.
Would appreciate any advice that you could offer! am I looking in the right
direction changing the CPS or does it sound like something else may be the
cause? Also what kind of price would I be looking at paying for a CPS form a
Vauxhall parts department.

Thanks

Have you checked that the airway to the engine is clear? Air filter/throttle
body/inlet manifold etc...?

I am having exactly that problem with my Zafira - still under warranty
( we all know what that's worth these days though ).

Vauxhall dealer initially cleaned throttle body - better but still not
right.

Today they have changed the ignition module - I'll let you know how
things go.
