Zafira mk2 instruments panel flickers or does not work

    Hi I am new to the forum after buying a 2007 cdti 1.9 150bhp like the car but recently the dash when cold does not work or flickers also now when the dash is out the lights do not work either.
    When the car has warmed up it is usually possible to get the dash powered up by turning off the ignition and restarting.
    I have had the engine fuse box out and inspected for water ingress also tried another fuse board which still gave the same issue also removed the dashboard and found no problem.
    I have run out of ideas other than I am going to replace the ignition contact set now any suggestions would be appreciated.
