Zafira, Engine warning light on after new exhaust fitted

Just had a new exhaust fitted to my 02 Zafira (Back and centre
sections). Driving back from the garage, the Engine warning light came
on. Called (non-vauxhall) garage - was told it should turn off after a
day or so. Is that true?
If it doesn't turn off, is there anyway, short of visiting the Vauxhall
dealer, to reset it - I'm sure it's due to the new "alien" exhaust.

You can disconnect and then reconnect your battery (leaving it
disconnected for a couple of minutes). As long as the problem no
longer exists then the lamp will stay off.

Be sure to read the instructions on how to do this first, otherwise your
powered alarm sounder will be blowing its tits off continuously for the next
week or so!!
