Hi,
Sorry if this has been dealt with before. I have W Reg Zafira and I was
wondering is it possible to make the cigarette lighter socket in the dash and
the one in the boot work when the ignition is off.
Thanks.

The one in teh boot already works with the ignition off, although
probably for a limited time after ignition key removal, re-wiring the
dash one would be possible but fiddly.

Its mainly the one in the boot I am thinking off, as I want to use it for a
small camping fridge.

i'd be very carefull about leaving it on too long.
even 4A that those fridges take will soon make your battery too low to start
the car if it does not fire withina few tries.
i find it better to use the socket to charge a sealled battery connected
directly across it, though a diode inline or one of these caravan charger
boxes might work better.

Good point, I think I will have to re think and maybe take a look at one of
the other methods that you suggested.
Thanks
