Zafira Car Alarm

I want to fit a car alrm to my Zafira (1.8 Design 2003). Has any one got any
sujestion as to where to mount the siren? (the engine compartment seems
quite full!)

Also

Has anyone got any sujestions on which type of car alarm to buy? I want one
that will work off the the original key blip, but so far i have only found
one suitable ( Autowatch 375 Clam - supplied by Abacus Car alarms )
 
I stuck mine at the rear of the car and to the right of the spare
wheel. It is tucked out of the way and not in the way of spray
although I admit it could be accessed and disabled by a determined
thief and of course a deep ford would flood it but then again the water
would enter the car too ;-)

hi Steve, on my 2004 club 1.8, I fitted my alarm siren using an existing
hole in the front apron under the bumper.I think these holes mebbe for front
fogs which my model Zaf.doesn`t have.
there is a small space here just in front of,and to the left of the
radiator bottom mount.a bit fiddly,but can be done,and it`s near the battery
too! but forget trying to pass any wires thru` the bulkhead into fuse box
or whatever,it can`t be done! car is too bloody well made! not like the
`old days`,plenty of handy grommets etc.!.......hth doug.
 
just an idea steve. you could always put it where the factory fitted siren
would have gone. left hand side front under wheelarch cover between door and
wheel. there are even mount holes and a hole for your wiring to go into
engine bay.

What happened to the original one, I wonder
