zafira brake pipes

    hi anyone had to have any brake pipes fitted on a zafira mine is an
    2001 zafira dti just took it for an mot and they said it had failed on
    corroded brake pipes surely the brake pipes should last longer than
    this i thought this would happen on a cars that was much older any help
    appreciated thx

    maybe the car has spent a lot of time in a hostile enviroment. seaside?
    previously owned by a gritter driver?

    Bet it was the near side or off side front pipe and it had gone just where
    it goes under the box section for a length of about 3 inches. Seen it lots
    on Zafira and Astra G. It is always the same place, but if it had been
    covered in grease during servicing it would have been fine.
