I have a new model July 06 Zaffy (solid roof rails). I have purchased a set
of genuine Vauxhall roof bars for it. I put the bars on today on the front
and central 'pips' and notice that the front bar is an inch or so lower than
the rear one. I have put the bars on the correct position according to the
front and rear pictures on the ends of the bars. Is this correct as my roof
box will be slightly pointing downhill towards the front of the car. I
purchased the bars new from a Vauxhall dealer via the web so not too easy to
    go and show them.

    Cheers

Cannot be done as the front bar is longer than the central/rear bar, which
is why I presume they are marked as front and rear. The front of the roof
rails is slightly wider than the central and rear sections. I think the
bars must be designed like this as all four feet are exactly the same
    dimensions.

I've no experience of these things, but my first thought is that it's meant
to be like that. You would only put the box on when fully laden, which
means the rear will sink a bit, won't it?

Failing that, maybe it's designed to increase downforce, so you can corner
    like Lewis H....!!
