zafira 1600 petrol max load

i need to transport some scaffolding in the back across europe
the amount i need will fit but will it be too heavy ?
what sort of loading can i put in the back One Up ?

Maximum GVW for a 1.6 Life Zafira B (no aircon) is 2075 kg. For other B
1.6 models it's 2090kg.

Yes, Gross Vehicle Weight, the total permissible weight of the vehicle.
The figures are from a Zafira brochure issued in August 2009.

so all i need to do is figureout it's unladen weight to see how much i can
load into the back ?
or
6 adults @ 80Kg each is 480 Kg
call it 500 with luggage

Perhaps you could drop on a pair of spring assistors to cut down the tail
sag, at least you wont be sitting on the bump stops.

SWMBO is watching the tennis, so I've come back to the office to do
something more interesting. IMO almost anything is more interesting than
tennis. Maybe not Prancing on Ice with the Celebrity X Dorothy's Big
Brother, though.

Consulting my Haynes manual, it says that the GVW is on the car's VIN
plate, which of course it is, I'd forgotten. It says that the kerb
weight for the 1.6 petrol models is 1505 kg.

Here's how to read a Vauxhall VIN plate, although the Zafira one is
slightly different:

Mine shows a GVW of 2205 kg and a maximum weight when towing of 3780 kg,
but then the engine's a bit bigger with more poke.

As for driver weight, the last time I was 75kg I was probably at school.
