    I have a V reg 2.0TD astra that went to Vauxhall for a 50K service when i
got it back the ABS light was on (drivers side front hub assy) Vauxhall
fitted a new hub (£260)and I have taken it back some 5 times now with a
vibration at speed through the steering Vauxhall claim that my tyres were
out of balance (on each occasion) I have now done 2500 miles and it still
feel like a wobble is present
has anyone got any ideas because Vauxhall seem reluctant to replace the hub

Did VX rebalance the tyres for you - if so, then you should be able to
complain they didn't do it properly.

If you haven't had the wheels rebalanced, you could try doing so and see if
it works. Also swop wheels around font-back and see if the wobble goes away,
or moves to the other end of the car.

While you are swopping the wheels, see if you can detect a bent rim or
mis-shapen tyre, either by looking yourself (on the rear hub, spin by hand)
or your local friendly tyre man might put the wheels on the balancer, spin
'em round and let you see for yourself.

You could also try complaining to the Vauxhall customer service department
and see what's what, or get a 2nd garage to have a look at it, when all else
    fails.
