Washer motor

  1. Hi there,

    I have an intermittent problem.

On my 96 vectra the rear wash works ok and you can hear the motor running.
However, the front washers fail to work and a faint buzz can be heard from
the motor. My questions are these:

How can one work without the other when the same motor delivers fluid to
both the front and rear windows?
Could the problem be caused by the two outlet valve which really answers
question one, but I just want to know how this valve works?
Is the problem likely to be caused by those funny little "one way" line
valves not letting the fluid through I the first place, thus putting stress
on the motor causing the strangled buzz sound?

It seems to be going in the direction of said motor, and I ain't really got
a lot to loose other than £7 on e-bay.

Just thought I would ask some enquiring type questions.

    Regards

    CF

those little filter are a pain
there was a msg on here some time last year on washer problems
i think you will find a little filter too, this gets full of crud
if mem serve correct a quick reverse blow through works a treat to clear the
    crud
though i think they are available as a separate replacement
