  1. aircon topups at halfords
    the supplied fittings do not work on my astra Y reg. £40 lesson learnt!

    You sure you weren't trying to fill it from the high pressure side?

    Strange, fits find on my Omega - wouldn't think Vauxhall would have
    substantially different (non-standard) a/c connectors.

    MMMMMMM..........
    Think I'd be tempted to check around - I got mine purged, pressure tested
    and re-filled for £40 (after the initial attempt failed due to a leaky pipe.
    New pipe & fitting not in price - that was expensive - £70+ for the pipe &
    £10 for fitting and the re gas inclusive in the original price of £40.
    Took a bit of searching out BUT - I'll go there again.

    Run the engine for 10 minutes, then with bonnet open grab a pipe. If it
    burns and causes blisters, it's not that one. If it freezes, and strips
    skin off your hand, it could be an AC pipe.

    Sorry can't remember where the fittings are on the car but having de-gassed
    and re-gassed a few astras I can assure you that the fittings are the same
    as every other modern car in the uk so must be 'operator error'.


    You sure you weren't trying to fill it from the high pressure side?
