Have a vectra 52 plate and last night lost a wheel trim. Checked out on
google and some one suggested that a new wheel trim costs £20 and that a
generic 16" from a car accessory shop will not fit.

Is it correct that I can not just go and get a set of 16" from my local
accessory place? I know I could go the ebay route but seems ridiculous
that Vauxhall have made it necessary for us to pay over the odds, also
encourages people to steal trims and put them on ebay.

Srry i can't answer your actual question, but when I lost a wheel trim
I went down the local tip (basingstoke FWIW) and they had a very big
pile of wheel trims, all makes. Although I couldn't find an exact
match I did find three pukka Vx ones of a similar design, cost me a
quid each. I then used the original design on one side of the car, and
the 'recycled' ones on the other, as it is rather tricky to look at
both sides of the car at once. :)

This then left me with one spare for each side.
