    I have a V6 (older style, 2002) 2.6 SRI Vectra.
It's due a service soon, but I was wondering if anyone out there could tell
    me if I require
to get the spark plugs changed?
i.e are they lifetime plugs? I think some of the new style Vectra's may have
lifetime plugs, but I'm not sure.

This is the most expensive part of the service and if I can do without
changing them, it would be a bonus.

    Thanks

Meant to go 80k but best to get them done every 40k cos they seem to misfire
    before then.

The 80,000 but 40,000 advice is good and I would recommend following
    it.

I would also look in the service book if you have one. This shows
Vauxhall's recommendations for cambelts, plugs, brake fluid, pollen
    filter etc.

I would recommend following that at the minimum.

The best advice is to check the service book for your car as
    recommendations changed but.....

Vauxhall changed their advice for some 8 year/80,000 mile cars and
    recommended 4 year/40,000mile changes instead.

What you do is up to you but they made the recommendation for a good
    reason!
