Vectra V6 piston ring replacement

    Does anyone know if the piston rings on 1998 V6 vectra can be replaced with
    the engine in situ like you can with the 4 cyl engine?

    The Vauxhall bible says no - but it has been wrong before!!
    Not heard of it done that way though.
