vectra stereo wiring

    Hi all,
    apologies if this has been covered before - I suspect it has but I can't
    find it and I've been trawling through previous posts all through lunch.
    I have replaced the car400 stereo with a sony minidisc player in my vectra
    (R reg) and all is well, I had to swap the continuous feed wire over etc to
    keep the settings but I have a further problem in that the display is
    permanantly illuminated (when the engine is off) and is draining the
    battery.
    Is there another connection I need to remove/swap over?

    did you only swap one wire ?
    should have swapped both lives
    as it sounds to me like you now have TWO permanent lives
    basically the live through ignition and permanent live wires should be
    swapped with EACH OTHER
    and that should be problem solved
