Over Xmas I stupidly managed to reverse into a stationary object, which
broke my drivers side rear light plastic cover.

Whilst I wasn't expecting the replacement part to be pennies, I was shocked
at being quoted £80 for a 'rear lamp'.

Can someone tell me whether the rear lamp is the whole unit. If so do I have
to buy the whole unit? Or can I just buy the plastic cover?

If you can also recommend a cheap supplier that would be great....

I got one for my Vecy B 97 plate from the scrap yard for a fiver.

Its the whole unit to be changed. Less the bulb holder and wiring

Either eBay as suggested or give Autovaux a ring, they may well be
    able to help:-
