It's a rubber "thing" screwed into the lower corner of the door, that fits into an embossed ring profile on the boot when the door is closed, and has to be set at the right height turning it. I've moved the existing "thing" from the right corner to the left corner, and the noise (knocking and rattling) changed pitch and shape. I'm going to a scrapyard ASAP to pick up one of these... how it's called, BTW?
