Vectra Radio Faulty? and 2.2 Petrol Oil Consumption

Just had my '03 Vectra 2.2 petrol in for a service and mentioned 2 problems
I noticed in the miles before. First of all was the amount of oil it had
used, 7 or 8 litres in 20k (it's done 30k now) ... no problem found.

The second was a fault with the radio/cd (CCR 2600 I think) which will
completely lockup (the radio will still play the station it's on, you just
can't change it or switch to cd) ... none of the buttons on the radio or
steering wheel work, the on/off works but it does nothing to get the rest of
the buttons working. The only way to get it functioning properly again is to
stop the car, turn the engine off and remove the keys then it will be ok
once it's powered back on. This has only happened 4 or 5 times in the last
20k but it's annoying to have to pull over and remove the keys to get the
    buttons working again.

Anyone have any thoughts on the oil usage or the radio problem?

    TIA
