    Hi to the group.
I have a friend at work who has an R plate Vectra 2.5 V6 petrol which hunts
when warm! He has no internet access so he asked me to help.

When he starts the car all is fine but as soon as the car starts to warm up
the engine hunts at idle. If he lets it run while in gear my friend
explained it like driving an older car with no throttle but with the manal
    choke is pulled out.

The cam belt was replaced 8000 ish miles ago and he had a new ECU fitted 6
months ago. He has checked for any leads that might be loose and is a little
apprehencive about going to a garage because of the previous costs incured
    ( £590 for the cam belt ).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like either the air idle valve or it may be getting air from
somewhere once its heated up causing the ecu to continually alter the idle
    speed to suit.
