    Hi all,

Vectra estate T registered 2.0 DTI - Update:
The engine management light had been coming
on periodically for about a year.

After the first few months, when the light would only
appear occasionally during a journey and usually go
out of it's own accord, the light began to come on
more frequently but without any obvious detrimental
    effects.
Quite often, initially, for some reason a slight touch on
the brakes would also extinguish the light but this
method only worked during the first few months of
the problem emerging. Over the course of the last
7 months the light consistently came on when
accelerating hard and always at speeds over 50/60
    mph.
Using the car every day, I didn't notice the true
extent to which the cars performance had hugely
deteriorated -for much of the time even the turbo
was completely dead - because the decline was
    a very gradual process.

I had the codes read by Sanspeed, in Bexleyheath
    Tel: 0208-303-4314

Fault codes: PO100 - MAF Sensor
    PO110 - Intake Temp Sensor
    PO400 - System Malfunction

Ordered an airflow meter from Vauxhall Spares Centre,
Essex Tel: 01708-384720 £109.27 inc VAT
I didn't replace any other parts. Fitted the part in 10
mins and I'm not exaggerating when I say that the
car now goes like a rocket ! I cannot even remember
the car driving so well and so smoothly, even when
I bought it, 2 and a half years old. A big, big, thanks
to all those who gave me such helpful free advice in
this group, especially "malc". I hope the information
that I have shared with you may now help some others.
