Hi i am experiencing some problems with my vectra. Basically the car
drives fine, but then it will suddenly jerk for a couple of seconds,
then the engine management light appears and the car drives fine
again. Does anyone have any idea why this may be, and what can be done
to fix it? I am worried that this may lead to causing a bigger problem
    with the car.

    Thank you.

I have the same problem, and at the moment I am still trying to sort it out.
Someone told me he changed the oxygen sensor and problem solved. I am
sourcing the sensor at the moment.

I has this exact problem on my Omega - only when going uphill - turned
out to be a loose crank sensor. PITA to get to mind you:-/

We had the same problem with our P reg Vectra
I think it turned out to be the Lambda sensor
