vectra door wont open ??? nor the boot :o(

    Hi, ive got a problem with the f/passenger door on my wifes 96 vectra,
    i locked the doors with the remote while the doors were still open
    ,closed the door and now i cant open the p/door no more.
    The catch wont lift up either...any ideas ???
    It only happened cos the boot lock is a bit fiddly sometimes and today
    i slammed the boot closed now i cant turn the key in the lock.
    how can i open the boot from the inside ?
    My 12 yr old son is a touch on the lanky side so i can send him in
    with a screwdriver to do the necessary if its possible ;o)
    Idont think that the 2 problems are connected regardless of what my
    wife thinks,she is blaming me big style so any help / advice would be
    well recieved.
