Vectra b petrol smell

    hi can anyone help,i have a Vectra b 1.8 petrol and I smell petrol all around the car and when driving and I open the window strong smell of petrol. I've had it checked and there are no fuel leaks.Someone has mentioned about a filter which is in the o/s wing which takes the unburnt fuel. has anybody come across this before
