The air con in my Vectra has just stopped working. The light on the a/c
    switch also no longer illuminates.

I am getting it checked out next week. Just in case the compressor needs
replacing, does anyone know how much a new one would be so I don't get
    ripped off?

    Any comments much appreciated.

    Cheers

I apologise if this offends but are you sure? On some models the aircon will
not work if the fan is off or if the recirc button is on when the air flow
    direction is on windscreen.

You probably have a leak, but fixing it might not be that expensive.
There was a recall on air/con pipes that chaffed through.
A stone through the condenser or a failed pump will make your wallet squeal.

Yes, I am sure. (and I'm not offended!)

Anyone know the price of a new compressor?

    Cheers
