Vectra 2litre Engine management fault Won't rev

Hi Above car suddenly shows EML and can't rev engine. Unable to drive. Any
suggestions. Does it need restting if so how? All oil changes etc done by
self. Someone said to me that dealers reset ECU when serviced is this so?

Dealer's don't touch the ECU when servicing so it is not that.

Having said that, it sounds as if you don't do a lot of servicing
either. I hope you do more than an occasional oil change!

YOu will need to read the codes to daignose the fault.

You can either go to a vauxhall dealer or use the paperclip method. I
don't know what this is but someone will point you in the right
direction

I tried that link because i'd like to know what the "paperclip" method is
and how to do it, but all i got was some advert...
