    Hi All
My Vauxhall Vectra, 04 reg with 58k on the clock and serviced twice so far
on 20k and 40k (cam belt changed too) has started to display InSp (or
couldbe 1n5p) sign on it's clock. It's due another service on 60k, so I was
going leave it for another month or so as it drives very smoothly...What
does this sign mean? My service booklet/manual say that if the car is due
it's service, it displays a spanner like symbol, which I have seen
    previously.
    Thanks

Presumably the service interval indicator is time based, as well as
mileage? i.e. 12 months since last service? The car with the spanner
through it indicates, on my Zafira at least, that the ECU has logged an
alarm code. INSP means an inspection is due.

    To reset InSP on Vauxhall:

    Ignition Off
    Hold Trip Reset In
    Turn on Ignition
Still Holding Trip Reset wait for four dashes
    Turn off Ignition
    Turn on Ignition

It is the service indicator. It often comes on just before 20,000
miles. It varies according to your driving but I don't know exactly
    how.

I wouldn't reset it but I don't see how you can invalidate the
warranty by waiting until 20,000 after the last service. Was the last
service done at 40,000 or less?

Isn't there still a time factor as well? I assumed that although the
OP had only covered 18,000 miles since last service it may have been
12 months, hence the 'insp ' coming on.
