I want to buy for my omega elite 99 original radio. I tried Philips car 400
, but seems that there is not connection for dash dispaly.
Please let me know, what models of cd/radioheadunits it's best option, i
    need information on display

Have you tried a CAR400 in it? If you have and the display is not
working it could be a faulty unit or it could be that the wiring was
    modified for the old unit.

We sometimes have to cut off part of the plug for other units but the
part plug ought to be there and it should be possible to fit into the
    cage.

Secondly, have you located a CAR400? If not, I can supply a secondhand
one for you. I can also supply new CDR500 units or other compatible CD
    players.

just out of interest how much would the CDR500 be? (guessing it's the
radio/cd version of the CAR400) ... looking for a replacement compatible CD
player for the faulty CAR400 in my 2000(X) Astra

    cheers

A CDR500 is around £225 but there are alternatives.

Most Vauxhall dealers stock a VDO unit which retails at £180. This
slides straight in and is compatible with the remote display and remote
    steering wheel controls.

Other units also work but you need adaptors.

If you are not fussed about the remote display or controls then we
retail decent CD/mp3 players for £99.

I ahve one in my wife's Corsa as I was not fussed about the display. It
still shows the time & temperature.
