The fuel pump has just gone on my Vx Astra 2.0 DTI (Y20DTH) - 2001.

Cost of replacement is £1300 for a reconditioned unit, the main dealer price
for a brand new unit was twice this !

On speaking to a local injection specialist they tell me they see TEN of
these a week and at any time keep TWENTY Vauxhall diesel fuel pumps in stock
    !!!!!

    Car had done 60k.

Don't tell you these things when you buy em do they !

By fuel pump do you mean the injector pump?
