Vauxhall Corsa C - easytronic fault

    My wife has a Vauxhall Corsa 51 plate easytronic. When you put it into
    Automatic sometimes the warning light (picture of a car with a spanner
    through it) comes on and you cant select manual, also the car use high revs.
    The car then corrects itself and then you can select manual or auto box.
    Anyone have an idea what is causing this and how to correct it.
    Any help would be appreciated.
