    Hello All,

    I have a 2014 Vauxhall Combo D 1.3 Diesel with A13FD engine.

After driving for about 15-20 seconds, it goes into limp mode, there is very little response from the throttle and EML light comes on. Turning the ignition off and back on solves the problem and it drives fine, but after 15-20 seconds it goes into limp mode again.

The 2 EML codes on the system are:

P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected

P0402 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected

If i clear these codes, the EML light disappears, but after 15-20 second of driving it re-appears with the same codes present.

A local mechanic swapped the EGR with one from another vehicle but unfortunately the problem remains (although it does run a little longer 30-40 secondsbefore the symptoms above appear).

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions please?

The 2 EGR's did have mild carbon build up, but the mechanic didnt think it was excessive.

    Thanks in advance

    Otis
