"----C" means the sensor or wiring is open circit.
The sensor on my old cavalier was mounted just in front of the passenger
side front wheel arch pointing down towards the road. Before buying a new
one check the connector about 4 inches back from the sensor, also at the
back of the display as I remember the wiring was tight so could have worked
loose. When I replaced mine years ago it was around £10 from Vauxhall.
