The above car ran out of diesel and upon refilling it I have found that the
car refuses to start.I have heard that the engine needs priming but have no
idea how to do this.Could someome please tell me what to do.

The car is an N reg.

    Thankyou

Not sure if it helps in your case , but i used to be able to tow start
transits in about 20 or 30 yds after they had run out of diesel on motorway
hard shoulders. A sight quicker than bleeding them . ( and cleaner )

I think they are self priming - you may just need to wind it over on the
starter untill it fires up. Not 100% certain though.
