Hey everyone, I’ve signed up to the forum today as I have a 2008 Vauxhall Astra 1.6i Life Easytronic that I -sadly- need to part with. I’ve had the car since 2020 and it has MOT until August. In February 2025, I had the clutch actuator repaired, as it had failed. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago, the same fault occurred again. Although the company who repaired the actuator offer a lifetime warranty, I will have to pay a garage to once again remove it and send it away to be repaired, and I don’t wish to do this again. I recently purchased a new car, as I needed one immediately and so don’t want the Astra to remain on my drive, gathering moss. The car still drives, but can pull badly for the first few minutes before settling down. This is how the problems began last time (and with the same fault code) and I know it will get worse, so I’d like it to go, whilst it’s still moveable. A local breakers yard said they would offer £250 for it, but I would much rather it go to someone who might renew/repair the car and keep it running. I would be willing to accept the same amount if anyone is interested in purchasing it? Ideally, I would like it gone by the end of the coming week. I am based in Telford. Hope no one is offended by me being a fairweather forum user, just for the purposes of saying farewell to the car. Thanks. Peter
