V6 ticking

I have a 2002, 2.6 V6 vectra and the engine ticks quite loudly.
Is this normal, I've asked about and one or two
others have said it's expected.
Anyone have similar issues?

Well my 2.5 V6 Omega ticked for the whole 5 years I owned it, didn't
get any worse. I assumed it was a 'lazy lifter.

Ticking like injectors ticking or more like clacking of valves?
Sometimes a bad exhaust gasket or even abad waterpump can causing
ticking type noises.
