Unleaded in a diesel

My sister, honestly, , has just put £15 (21 l) worth of unleaded into my
astra diesel estate. The tank holds 50 l, do i need to syphon some out
before i fill it up, or will it run. The car has not been started yet. If
i do need to syphon it, any suggestions, as i can't get a hose down to the
petrol tank. Any suggestions greatly accepted, as I am about to strangle my
sister!!!!

mixing a bit of pertol in with diesel is a vey good smoke curer, but i think
50/50 is a bit too rich!
the cheats way to siphon is to pull the pipe off the bottom of the tank if
you can.
the sitrup type pumps are quite good also.

as a 2nd thought..got aa or rad they'll do it with a electric one.

Siphoning out the filler can be difficult as many modern cars have some kind
of device at the tank end, like gauze or a u-bend to prevent scrotes busting
the filler cap and siphoning your fuel away in the night.

Erring on the side of caution I'd not start my car till I'd got a good few
litres of the petrol out.

My dad had some success siphoning an entire tank of petrol from my mother's
306 diesel by popping the bonnet and using the primer bulb and a length of
hose to start a siphon. If your astra has a similar arrangement, thats an
option.

Alternatively, you should be able to get at fuel lines under the back of the
car somewhere.

You should also be able to get at the fuel sender mount ... replace the
gasket.
