    Hi Guys

    Just a wee question...........

I am going to fit a towbar on my estate and wondered if there may be any
problems that anyone has come across I should be aware of that are not in
    the books.

    TIA

    Paul

I don't know about the bracket itself but be careful with the wiring. I
would use the Vauxhall loom and you will probably need a dealer to
'tell' the car about the wiring using Tech 2.

When you fit the towbar please remove fully any adhesive sound
deadening material when fitting the reinforcing plates at the sides of
the boot floor. On my Signum I had to remove this on the left side
only. If you do not remove this it can affect the torque setting of the
bolts and the towbar could loosen and cause damage.

Do as Alan says and use the OE wiring kit. It is a simple plug in
system with an ECU module. You will need to take the car to a Vauxhall
dealer and have some additional software downloaded to this ECU to
ensure that the bulb failure warning covers the trailer, that the
trailer indicator "tell-tale" in the instrument display works when
towing and the rear fog lamp and reversing light cut outs work when
    towing.

If you want to buy an OE wiring cheaper than from your Vauxhall dealer
    have a look at www.rightconnections.co.uk
