"Ticking clutch" noise problem on Zafira Diesel?

Just bought an 06 plate Zafira 1.9CDTi. 6,000 on the clock. Never had
a diesel before so not sure on the level of noise to expect! There
seems to be a "ticking" noise when the car is in motion with the clutch
engaged. Dip the clutch, for example when changing gear, and it stops.
Raise clutch and it returns. Drives well with no signs of a problem.
Any ideas or comments before I go to the dealer for a chat?

Do you get the same symptoms with the car stationary?

Does the rate of ticking increase with rpm's?

Does it tick in every gear?

Maybe the clutch cover is catching on something-god knows what though! But
whatever it is, dont mess with the car as its still under warranty.
Take it back, and dont take no for an answer. If they tell you to take it
away and see if it develops, then ask them to put it in writing to cover
    yourself.

    Thanks for the comments

    Rate of ticking seems consistent

You can't hear anything when the car is stationary

Will go to see the main dealer - but if you have any other comments
    please let me know

    Thanks
