    went rummaging in the wifes zaf on sunday for some insulting tape, and was
    looking under the front passenger seat. there was a piece of plastic in the
    way, so i gave it a tug and out popped a neat little magazine sized storage
    tray! we've only had the car about 2 years and no one had any idea it was
    there!

    Anyone else ever found something unexpected about their car?

    Not quite what you're asking, but....

    First thing.......
    ===========
    How "un-cool" the kids thought my '96 Veccy was........ until they were 17.
    Now I hardly get a look in...!!!

    Second thing....
    ============
    Did you know that when you stop in a modern Rolls, the hub caps continue to
    rotate until the "RR" is the right way up?!!

    Third thing.....
    ===========
    While talking about Rolls.... did you know a spare piece of matching walnut
    is hidden under the rear seat, in case dash ever gets damaged?!

    Fourth thing.....
    ===========

    (sorry about this, but the old ones are the best ones :) ....

    "While cleaning inside the boss's Rolls, the chauffeur found a couple of
    golf tees. Not knowing what they were for, he asked the boss. "They're for
    putting your balls on when you drive off".

    Chauffeur replies "Crikey - RR think of everything!"

    It took me a couple of months to find it. You are supposed to put the
    service book and manual in there. Otherwise, it is the place for the CD
    stacker - if you have one.

    I can see two vents, I assume these are air vents.
    Where is the little tray in relation to these please?

    It is accessed from the front of the seat, just under the cushion. Lift up
    to get it over a lip - you don't want it moving out under braking - and pull
    out.

    John the tray is right underneath the front edge of the passenger seat.
    (just beneath the bar for adjusting the front-back movement of the seat).
    It has a curved front lip so your fingers can pull it open. If I recall
    correctly not all models have the draw.

    bugger all under my 1600 club passenger seat except the black box for the
    Retrofit one? If you keep the owner/service manual in the glovebox, it can
    liberate some space by putting them under the seat.
