Is there a simple way to reset the SRS light on a Vectra (it's on from a
voltage trigger, not a fault trigger) ?

On my previous Rover 600, you could do it by sticking a paper clip in a
diagnostics port and performing the relevant code :) Is there anything
similiar for Vauxhall, rather than taking it to a dealer and spending
£40 or whatever for them to do sod all other than plug their little
device in and click 'reset' ?

There's is no quick cure without special equipment, however £40 is rather
steep. There are those who will reset the light for about £10. We do this on
    a regular basis.

That's what Rover main dealers say as well. A bit of inside knowledge
and a paperclip in the diagnostics port soon sorts that out tho :)
Average Rover main dealer charges anywhere between £25 to £50, I assume
a Vauxhall dealer won't be much different.

Fault codes can often be read using the paper clip method, however AFAIK,
they can't be erased. To experiment with this method would be rather
fool-hardy, as damage would, no doubt, result.
As far as I'm aware, the SRS cannot be read using this method.
