Seeking unbiased opinion on dash trim kits

Hi all.

Been watching the likes of this

on ebay, and although I am tempted, I thoughI would put it to the group and
see if anyone else has any experience or comments about this. some of the
sellers pick(on LHD american cars look really good, but I am wondering if I
would be left with something that looked like a failed 1980's Blue Peter
project (lots of sticky backed plastic and pva glue). I havnt asked the
seller any questions yet though, thought I would see what turns uphere
first.

My mate bought a kit like this for his Isuzu Trooper and was quite happy
with it. The self-adhesive stuff on the wood panels wasn't up to much,
though, and he ended up sticking it on with super glue.

I don't know what make it was, or where it came from. He isn't
computer-literate, so it certainly didn't come off eBay.
