    Hi all,
My Astra's seat belt tensioner light has come on since my wife used the car
    and moved the drivers seat.
Does anyone know how I can reset the light on the dash ? I've had a quick
look at the tensioner but there isn't much to see to be honest, just a plug.

    TIA
    Ben

check the plug is seated properly.
pull it apart then reconnect it.
check the wires have not been runover by the seat glides or nicked by them.

if the problem was only brief, you should see the light go out in a day or
two when the ECU catches up.
if it stays on, then maybe time for the paperclip trick or a trip to a tech2
machine to reset it (£10-15 )

It could also be a broken wire.

Either way, the seat belt pre-tensioners (and possibly arbags) are not
working while the light is on so get it checked out soon.

    Hi Mike,
Thanks for replying so quickly !
I've tried what you said and all seems fine.
Could you tell me (or direct me to somewhere) how to reset the ECU using a
    paperclip ?
I've heard of the "paperclip trick" but i'm not sure what to do.
    Many Thanks,
    Ben
