    Hi,
Can anybody help with fitting a radio/cd unit in a Astra G, 2001.
The wire connectors on the back of the cd unit get in the way of pushing the
unit back fully into its dashboard hole.
The Vauxhall unit has no wires but plugs which it pushes into.
I think I need to take it's cage out to free up the connectors at the back
so they can dangle loose out of the way with an adaptor .
    Can anyone help please.
    Cheers. Chris.

To remove the cage? The cage is retained by one screw roughly central at
the rear (car front) and a springy clip at each side at the front (car
    rear).
