Rebooting Computer on Vauxhall Astra 1.4 K Reg

Power down, fuel consumption up, needs control computer reboot. Anyone
know how to do it? I know part of process is disconnecting and
reconnecting battery and revving it like hell, but, exact procedure etc. I
don't know.

ofcourse you've done usual?

Oil + filter, air filter , plugs. clean that throttle plate and body with
carb cleaner.

there was not 'much' controlled by the ecu then.

checked compression ratios too?
