Rear Passenger Door Won't Open

I have a 2020 Insignia 1.5 GSi VX-line and today the rear passenger door has decided not to open. The lock works. The door button moves up and down. The handle pulls open inside and outside but the latch does not free and the door is stuck closed. Everything appears to work with the electronic system but the door just simply will not open when you pull either handle.

I can't check the wiring harness as I can't open the door. The back door is seldom used so is not worn, I would not think. There have been no bumps to the door, etc.

Any ideas? Or any suggestions who to take this to for a fix - not a Vauxhall dealer!

Same thing has just happened to me, spoke to my mechanic and he has suggested that I will need to take it to body shop as cutting might be needed.....hope not....sounds drastic
