Hello, sorry for the intrusion, but I wonder if anyone could help me out.

    I've got a 2002 Vectra 2.0 DTi LS, and recently it's showing a power
steering alert on the dash display. I haven't a manual for the car (bought
second-hand from Fords of Winsford), and I cannot locate the power steering
reservoir. Where on earth is it?! I'd be grateful if someone could point me
in the right direction, as I'm (hopefully) swapping the car over the weekend
    for an older Saab.

    Cheers

Lot newer than my vectra, but does it have a power steering pump? these
should be easier to track down, just look at what the belts go round. If no
pump then its that funny electric PS, like we have on the wifes zafira.
Dunno how that works, but it works ok for her.

    That's a new style Vectra?
I think they have electric power steering. You have a three year
warranty. I suggest that you get to a Vauxhaul dealer and get it fixed
under warranty - real sharpish. You don't want to pay that repair bill.

Thanks all for your replies - it explains why I couldn't find anywhere to
    put power steering fluid!
I'm (hopefully) exchanging the car on saturday, so I hope the garage don't
notice it..... On nights 'til then, so haven't really got chance to take it
to a dealer. What could happen if it's left as it is? It's been on a few
    weeks now

    Thanks again

I took it into the Vauxhall dealer this morning, where they ran diagnostics
on it. They're having to replace the entire steering rack - I'm glad I took
your advice, as if it failed completely it could've been dangerous.

    Thanks again

Cheers, forgot also to say (thankfully) covered by the warranty - otherwise
    I'd be coughing up ~ £500!
