    Hi Group

    I have a 2004 Astra 1.8 Sri.

Over the summer I noticed on a few occasions going back to my car that the
radio would be switched on, even though the ignition was off and the keys
out. It stopped doing this for a while but I have noticed over the last
couple of days it has done it again. My next door neighbour just told me it
was on this morning when he went out!

Does anyone have any information on this?

    Thanks in advance.

Does it play old rock n' roll music ? Reminds of the film "Christine" when
the old Plymouth Fury sets out to take revenge on behalf of it's owner.

I'm sure this is a common problem that I have read about before, try
    searching on google groups: http://groups.google.co.uk/ I think it's a
    software bug.

If it is a new shape Astra then it needs a new radio - this is a known
problem.. A short term cure is to leave it on cd when you turn it off and
then it wont play by itself until your dealer gets you a radio sorted under
    warranty.
