Pinking noise

Hi all,
My Corsa B (C14SE engine) is making pinking noises when under load. I've
checked the air filter, replaced the spark plugs and leads and put some
redex through the tank (the fuel filter is a year old, but it has had
regular doses of redex).

I have no idea whether the pinking noise is being caused by a too-high or
too-low fuel/air ratio, but seem to have run out of options. Could it be the
cam timing?

try moving the dizzy cap slightly if you can, had similar problems myself,
just started pinking, then i moved it a tiny bit and it was fine

What do you mean by dizzy cap? The C14SE has no distributor.

My dad had this one a old toyota cresida slowly it got worse till
finaly through pure fuel starvation while on a long journey the car
spitted and farted to a halt when the fuel filter was taken off
although only a few months old it was blocked solid, take the filter
off and try blow through it if you cant or its hard id go for a new
feul filter its cheaper that doing with a new engine
