    Hi,
I would like to install a Parrot ck3000 blutooth handsfree in my new vectra
with CD30 radio. The unit is about £70 from the net or £99 fitted at
    Halfords.
I found a diagram (in french) which seems to show the unit connects directly
to two sockets on the back of the radio. Is it really that simple? If so I
    will fit it myself.
If anyone has fitted one of these please let me know if all the cables
needed were present in the box and whether any cables needed to be
    cut/spliced etc..
    Also is it any good??

    Cheers,

    I don't know about the Parrot but I have a 2005 Corsa with the CD30 MP3
fitted. When I tried to fit a TomTom permanent docking kit I found that it
came with the standard ISO connectors so, in theory, all that was required
was to unplug the loom from the radio, plug it into the loom on the TomTom
kit and then from the TomTom kit to the back of the radio unit. Only
drawback was that the radio unit has a newer type of wiring connector [all
in one plug with a lever locking mechanism] so the TomTom wiring was not
compatible. I ended up having to buy an adaptor loom from www.nexxia.co.uk
to get the TomTom unit to connect. The unit now works but all the extra
wiring is kind of bulky behind the dash. Also because of the Corsa wiring
the unit will not switch to night display mode when the lights are switched
on and it will not switch off with the ignition so is live all the time, not
a great problem as the car is used daily and the drain is not that much. It
might be worth checking the connectors that come with the Parrot unit.

    Hi Ian,
Thanks for the info, Nexxia list a CD30 converter so it seems the radio does
not have the same ISO as the kit. I think I will have to use an adaptor.
That starts pushing the total price closer to a fitted unit from Halfords, I
wonder if they use an adaptor or splice the unit into the radio loom? I`d
like to know as I have a company car and will need to move the unit to a new
one without damage to the old car.

    Cheers,

As it states on the Halfords website on the page for the CK3000 -
"Subject to vehicle inspection, certain vehicles may need an
additional lead at an extra cost of £19.99"

Well I bought the CK3000 and as the lead was much the same price at Halfords
or on the net went and bought it, a very helpfull installer checked I had
ordered the right lead (SOT-122 for the CD30) and gave some good suggestions
    to aid the install.
It was difficult to fit as there are alot of cables to fit behind the radio,
I put some behind the heater controls and the kit itself next to the glove
    box.
The kit works very well call quality both ways is very good and the pairing
works everytime. The only gripe is the volume cannot be changed in call so
sometimes its a bit loud or soft. This may be down to my phone as the book
says the kit adjusts volume setting from the phone. It can be changed in the
setup mode so I have gone for an mid level and its generally fine.
I believe it is possible to use the accessory in connectors and the steering
wheel volume controls using a combination of other leads but this will have
to wait until the kit goes into another car and I get more experience
    fitting this type of kit.

    Cheers,

Thanks for posting back, Basil. Forgive my ignorance, but what is
    "pairing"...?

    Hi Martin,
Its a bluetooth car kit, I meant it connects wirelessly to the phone
reliably each time the ignition is turned on, you get a beep to let you know
its connected. It works with my HTC pda and with a SE w810i. I have had a
couple of Bluetooth earpieces which did not perform so well or got sat on
    before their time!!

    Cheers,
