Omega Sun-Roof Erratic Operation

My (1998 2L Petrol Omega B Ecotec) sunroof appear to have developed a mind
if it's own lately!
I'm assuming its a dodgy switch? Is this repairable or should I replace the
unit?

Has the battery been disconnected or run flat recently. if so it needs to be
re programmed as do the electric windows. You can do them yourself as per
the handbook.

 

it will prob be the motor cam sensor microswitches.
pull off the cover to the motor and check the switch contacts around the
plastic cam.
..
a squirt of switch cleaner (not wd40) will prob do the trick.

Before you do anything drastic try resetting it. Press the button and hold
while the roof goes through it's learning cycle.

 

Thanks for all the responses..I reckon I'll try the Reset first and if that
doesn't sort it then the micro-switch contacts.
(The battery has not been disconnected or gone flat.)
