Omega questions

Hi there all, I recently a bought a 52 plate omega cd 2.2 my engine
management light comes on intermittently but vauxhall cant find a problem
with it also since they replaced my coolant bottle due to a faulty sensor my
check system seems to have been affected and they cant find a problem there
either Im beginning to think their computers goosed, anyway do any of you
guys no the cause of these problems and or how to resolve them? also what
should my typical mpg be I seem to average about 20 around town and up to 32
on longer journeys is this typical the about town 1 seems low for a 2.2
litre engine. Its the 4 speed auto version I have if this helps any of you.

That does sound a bit low, but not drastically so, my 2 litre manual
Omegas did around 28 mpg mixed, 38 mpg on very gentle motorway
cruising. - that's brim to brim calcualtions over thousands of miles,
not the trip computer.

Something's wrong somewhere. I get nearly those mpg figures out of my
2 tonne 4.4 V8 auto.
